So, has anyone actually looked at the word “sherbert” when ordering ice cream? I certainly have not. It isn’t sherbert at all — but instead, “sherbet.” That’s so stupid. Sher-bit?
The dictionary says both words are acceptable, but…I just don’t know anymore. My reality has been turned upside down.
Which do you say?

I think “sher-bert” is southern, I say it but don’t spell it. like the seerup/surrup/syrup debate.

hipincognito answered:
Sherbet like sorbet but if you say “sherbet,”
