Savannah is a proud graduate of puppy school —  magna cum laude. This is why it’s not hard to believe that she is a genius.

The following short anecdote proves her resourceful brilliance, but it is not for the weak of heart or those who are very serious.

Today, after going to the dog park with our other pup, the beloved Kava, Savannah was in desperate need of a bath. Luckily, I have no shame and volunteered to share MY shower time with the pups. Kava went first, and she was easy. Savannah, however, does not like baths very much.

She devised a simple but extremely effective plan. As we were encased in the glass shower, I began to scrub her down with the shampoo. That’s when she decided to sham-poot. Yes, five stinky dog farts were released into the tiny enclosed space. I coughed on the methane that I could clearly taste, and I backed off. Much to both of our dismays, the bath had to go on! She is now clean, and — well — I took another shower.

It almost worked, pup. Almost.
