If there was anything to know about the Eberly family, other than they are all much too smart for their own goods, it was that they fish. A lot. This was evident even when Rob and I first met, which was right about here:
So, naturally I was dying to partake in this coveted and exclusive experience. I was granted this honor early Monday morning. I pretty much just rode along (I love nothing more than summer boat rides) like a goon as we went out thirteen miles in the Gulf. Rob’s precious parents took us:
I know his mom looks sweet, but I feared her days as Yard Mom (a volunteer mom who watched us all play on the playground during recess) most. She claims she doesn’t remember my getting into trouble, so I won’t remind her. She made us delicious sandwiches and packed Gatorade and watermelon for us to eat on the boat. I obliged joyfully.
Mr. Eb allowed me to reel in two of his catches. So, I “caught” one dolphin fish, which I learned is Mahi Mahi, and one red snapper. Later, as Rob and his dad cleaned the fish, I just played with the guts and eyes and all kinds of sick stuff. It was great.
Quick! Look! A cute boy on the horizon:
And let’s end with the water spout we saw:
Hope I can go fishing again soon!
