I’m not sure how I feel about these photo slideshows yet. However, they are a lot less work than the way I used to showcase multiple photos…

THE PAST COUPLE O’ DAYS:

1. Ashley, Allyson, and I (the A Team) were finally reunited — for, like, 3 hours. Ashley lives in Charleston, and we miss her guts. You might recall the tribute to her I wrote back in May.

2. I’m not a dork. I just think that it’s only every 111,111 miles that your car produces a cool mileage photo opportunity.

3 & 4. Allyson and I shopped for the best gifts for Ashley’s birthday. I would reveal the awesome treasures we scored, but she hasn’t received the package yet. Any minute now, Ashley.

5 - 7. My nephew, Andrew, and I do something pottery-related every time he comes in town. We have made a handprint concrete stepping stone (if that even counts), made and painted coil pots (with a rattlesnake inside), and plates. The last plate we made was back in fall of last year, and it was a handprint turkey. So, being summer, I thought a handprint octopus would be fitting. We’re planning to do winter and spring plates, too, to complete the set. Andrew also wanted to paint this fish cup for his toothbrush to live in.

8. After pottery, we went to famous Panini Pete’s downtown. We met with Allyson, and chatted with ol’ Pete and his adorable sister. We go way back. We go back before he was featured on “Diners, Dine-Ins, and Drives” AND on “Guy’s Big Bite.” While waiting for my rosemary chicken with goat cheese, baby greens, garlic aioli, and tomatoes on wheatberry bread…I found this tiny inch worm on my shirt. Pretty cute.
