Friends, it’s time for Home Remedies Corner. Today, we will focus on blemished skin. Now, I don’t know about you, but I would love to have clear skin and still remain on my strict budget. If you think you can’t find this Holy Grail — you can! It’s all about household items. What do you say to a face mask made solely of aspirin and honey?
When you gather your supplies, make sure you have UNCOATED aspirin. Your honey does not have to have the comb inside; I just think it looks cooler. Now, for the recipe:
1. Take 3 to 4 tablets (5 if you have a melon head) of aspirin and put them on a plate.
2. Sprinkle — and I mean sprinkle — tablets with about 6 drops of water.
3. After pills bubble and break down, smoosh them into a thick paste with your finger.
4. Drizzle about 1 teaspoon of honey over the paste and mix thoroughly.
5. Apply mixture all over your face. Don’t fret, it’s supposed to be grainy.

This is what you will look like. Except you won’t be wearing your treasured Christ the King Catholic School 4th grade volleyball team jersey (Go Saints!!).
6. Leave the mask on for 10 to 15 minutes.
7. When the time comes, rub the dried mixture into your face in small, circular patterns.
8. Rinse off with water, and dab your face dry.
What just happened?
- The honey soaked into your pores and grabbed all of the dirt out.
- The aspirin tightened your skin and reduced any swelling and redness.
- Exfoliating with the dried mixture removes all the dead skin cells on your face.
- Your skin now feels unbelievably smooth and baby-soft.
- You smell delicious!
Follow up with Burt’s Bees Garden Tomato Toner. It’s all natural, and it will remove the mixture remnants and, well, tone the skin.
After the toner, use your moisturizer. Neutrogena’s Healthy Skin Anti-Wrinkle cream is cheap, works wonders, isn’t sticky, and even has SPF 15.
USE THIS MASK ONCE EVERY OTHER DAY IN CONJUNCTION WITH A TONER AND MOISTURIZER, AND YOU WILL DEFINITELY SEE IMMEDIATE RESULTS! Prom Promise.
Fun Fact: When I was letting my mask dry tonight, a bee straight-up flew in my house and landed on my face! WTF, honey?!
Question: Have you ever tried this regimen? Will you?
