Monday: My mom, stepdad (Matt), Kyle, and me all drive down to our seaside escape.
Tuesday: Kyle and Matt drive home. We are saddened, but Kyle has a gig…and the seaside escape becomes LADIES’ SEASIDE ESCAPE.


Kyle and I ride bikes together. I only learned how to ride a bike when I was 19, and I haven’t really had the opportunity to ride my bike since I moved back home from Savannah. So, it’s very easy to make me nervous and crash. Kyle thinks this is funny.

Ladies’ Seaside Escape begins. Haley, a lifelong friend (our moms have been best friends since elementary school), models floppy hats with me.


Sadly, we become lost…but are eventually found by our moms.

Strangely, we even ran into even more of my mom’s childhood friends (Wally & Helena) and THEIR offspring (Nikki & Lyndsey)! What are the odds?!

Featured Highlight: The food! Yesterday, I had a cheese board and calamari with Kyle. Today, I enjoyed a tomato, wild mushroom, and goat cheese crepe. MMMMM!
