10 Day Challenge
Day Eight: Photoshop a picture of yourself with a celebrity you’d like to meet. I can’t think of a more enjoyable time than if Chloë Sevigny were to invite me to the hilltop. She would spray me with a hose, and we’d just laugh and laugh. Well, I would. She would just take a drag off of her cigarette with a look of content. She’s sort of sadistic, really.

Day Seven: Your default Facebook picture Most of you guys have seen this picture before, but I’m a such sucker for this dog-dog. I’ve had and have a few other pups in my life — Zoë and Savannah — but Kava is the first one that’s all mine. I chose her, I adopted her, I take care of her. I’m her mama. To thank me for getting her out of the pound, she gives me...

Day Six: A picture of you in your favorite outfit The dress is a Rodarte for Target that I got around Christmas 2009. Its beautiful and dainty homage to the 1950s rendered me unable to say no. It has fine tulle, polka-dot chiffon, and floral lace — all in one dress. It’s the epitome of girly. The belt came with a romper I ordered from Modcloth this past summer. Skinny brown leather...

Day Five: A picture of yourself from when you were a little kid. Breakfast time! I demand chocolate cake and a hot toddy. What? You don’t like that? Well, kiss this: That’s right. I got my Minnie Mouse panties on with my mismatched pigtail ribbons. I’m a total stud. Awww yeeeeah.

Day Four: A picture of you and your best friend(s). I’m guessing this means my human friends only, right? I’ve probably exhausted my readers’ interest in my crazy dog lady behavior anyway.
So why don’t start from the very beginning…a very good place to start? When you read, you begin with A-B-C; when you post pictures of yourself with your best friends you begin...

Oh, You Know, a Friend...
Scene: Boy is wearing a grey sweatsuit. I reiterate: sweatshirt and sweatpants are both matching shades of grey. Me: You are so heather grey right now. Boy: Who is she?

Day Three: Post a picture of yourself from a year ago, and describe how you’ve changed. This time last year, I lived by myself in my own apartment. This time last year, I was trying to distract myself from a devastating breakup that happened in 2009. This time last year, I was a confused liar. I was in a long distance relationship, and I was trying to convince myself that it made me happy....

Day Two: A Picture of What I Look Like Today As you wish. Okay, let’s be honest. This is what I look like every single day. Unkempt, long locks of flaxen hair. Large sunglasses to hide as much of my face as possible. Pale (pretty sure I lack melanin), matte lips that say, “You don’t want none of this, bro.” And the ever-present giant, green, puffy coat with faux fur trim...

10 Day Challenge
I’ve talked about how I have a case of Writer’s Block, and so I’m going to try to fix that via force tactics. Yes, I’m going to participate in a 10 Day Challenge. However, because I’m a slothlike laze-bucket, I’m going to kick it half-ass style: a 10 Day PERSONAL PHOTO Challenge. So, without any further ado, let’s get this party started. Day One: Your...

Manly Quotes
Scene — At the house, in the Boy’s room. We are trying to go to Goodwill to find a Genie lamp for my Aladdin play, and the store is going to close in twenty minutes. Boy is trying on different pants and shoes, as his favorite jeans are beyond dirty; he cannot find anything that he likes/I don’t think he looks dorky wearing. Boy: (emerging from closet in baggy jeans and white...

The Regulars!
Okay, that’s cool. I always chuckle when I get these emails and messages, so thanks forever, John. But really? Someone you know has a blonde friend in Alabama with a name similar to Alexi Eileen Vrabel? I’m just sorry about that. Well, check these kids out for good measure; this John Kozak has a real entrepreneurial spirit. Plus, his last name sounds sort of Czech, and that scores...

Cool Story
Against all odds, I found a way to get red, cinnamon (a delight for the olfactory!) gum on the side of my favorite beige ballet flats today. Then, I proceeded to not notice it for hours therefore not avoiding crossing my leg and sitting on it at work. So, for you guys playing along at home, yes. I have been walking around with red, cinnamon gum on my shoe AND MY BUTT all day today.

Dreams, Part Deux
I’ve been really killing it with dreams lately. Last night, I was a student at Hogwarts. I’m not sure which house I was in, but I was definitely not in Slytherin. There was some sort of competition going on, and the loser would have to get a tattoo of the winners’ house on them. However, and so typical of those bastards, the Slytherins had gotten ahold of the tattoo gun and...

Dreams
My dream last night consisted of my hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live. I don’t even know why I was invited to do so; I didn’t know if I were actually famous, and if so, I had no idea what I even did to be famous. I was at rehearsal before the real deal, and I felt really ill-prepared. As someone who got her first-ever F in her eighth grade speech class, I was freaking out that...

Re: Adventure
Today, my dear Bailey was asked and she had the most wonderful answer: ”We were in a movie theater. We were watching a mediocre Ben Kingsley film (yes, those do exist) that was filmed in San Francisco. My lover was from the San Joaquin valley. He kept talking into my ear throughout the film about this bridge or that street on the screen. He said I was ‘a California girl and I didn’t...

Love, Actually.
I’m very quick to find humor and merit and even enjoyment in the mishaps that occur in my life. Get rear-ended? That’s worth a laugh. Dogs run through the house covered in mud? Someone will want to read about that, sure. However, I find it unendingly awkward to write about the good things. I find it especially difficult to write about things involving my love life that aren’t...
